Desde el CNIC, la Dra. María Ángeles Moro nos hace llegar la siguiente información:
We are pleased to announce the upcoming CNIC-Fundación Areces Conference on “Understanding the Neurovascular Network to Prevent Dementia”.
This Conference will convene leading international experts to examine the central role of the neurovascular network—including cerebral blood flow, the blood–brain barrier, and brain drainage systems—in maintaining cognitive function and preventing dementia. Through a multidisciplinary lens, the program will address vascular contributions to cognitive decline, with sessions on small vessel disease, cerebral blood flow dynamics, blood–brain barrier integrity, and glia–vascular interactions. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how dysfunction within the neurovascular unit contributes to dementia, and how emerging diagnostic and therapeutic strategies can inform prevention and early intervention.
